Welcome to Wales

Croeso I Gymru - Welcome to Wales

“Wales is a quiet corner of Great Britain, a special place where history, song, poetry and the ancient Celtic traditions are alive and well in the beauty of a very green, unspoiled country.”    Mary Ashcroft

We have left Cornwall and the New Forest far behind us and we have traveled on towards Wales.  Here is what we saw when we arrived.  Ah, a sigh escapes every time I look at that photo.

Wales is incredibly beautiful with seaside villages, viaducts, castles, and breathtaking hiking trails through the mountains.

And when we tired of hiking Olive and I climbed aboard the Heart of Wales train with our knitting bags and spent the day chatting and knitting and watching the countryside roll by our window.  Here, you can come along and see some of the sights.

It was the best day!  And turned into the inspiration for my next design, the Heart of Wales Shawl.  Here is a little sneak peak!

See you soon……
