Sweet Details Cardigan

I’m excited to tell you about my latest design, the Sweet Details Cardigan, inspired by my one year old granddaughter.  It was a lot of fun to design and knit.  Sweet Details is an easy top down little girl’s cardigan that features a textured yoke and fine finishing details.  It’s knit completely in one piece with no seaming whatsoever.  Gotta love that!  And the little textured pattern used in the yoke and trim is really easy to knit up and showcases both semi-solid and variegated colorways beautifully.

I’ve included tutorials for all the techniques used in the pattern, so you have everything in one place.  I’ve sized it for little girls, with the finished chest measurement 24, 26 or 28 inches, approximately aged 2, 4 and 6.  It knits up quite quickly with worsted weight yarn.  I’ve knit two of them, both using Malabrigo Rios, which is a fantastic superwash wool with all of Malabrigo’s amazing colorways.

The perfect little cardie to wear for spring, it will keep it’s little owner warm and cozy but not overheated.

A special thanks to my testknitters, Elizabeth and Shelly who did such a great job testing out the pattern and adding their own suggestions and input.  Thanks so much to both of you for your help!  You can see both of their versions on Ravelry under Sweet Details Cardigan Projects.  The pattern is for sale today on Ravelry, here is the direct link – Sweet Details Cardigan
